Bikes you see when out and about that need a loving home

Wandering around Cambridge after work I often see a 94 Explosif chained up in all weathers that needs a warm and dry place to stay (even though i'm not really a Kona fan)

There is also an old Bontrager that needs a good bit doing to it, but could be made presentable again with the right owner (me)

But best of all is the 1983 Stumpjumper Sport, looks to be pretty much all orignal and hate seeing it with the rotten d lock bracket clamped on the seat tube.
Have thought of leaving a note with tel no in case they wanted the cash for a nice new halfords cycle, this bike needs more love :)

I'd just go around with a big van of basic simple but solid bikes, and when ye find a stray, break the lock, and leave a new one chained up with the key under the saddle.

Attach a wee courtesy card with "You Have Been Bike Fairied".............

I like the idea

There was a great thread on this subject that was full of pictures of bikes chained to railings etc. 'Bikes you saw' or something similar.

Will take my camera with me tomorrow then and snap a few.

The Kona is by the tennis courts at the back of a King St pub, but not giving the Stumpy's whereabouts away.

clockwork

Saw this orange outside my work in Aberdeen.

I don't think it needed a goodhome as it looked well cared for, but I did see a fillet brazed Saracen in original trim the last time I went to Cannock Chase.
