Probably not much use but I'll keep an eye down here in the Smoke. You never know what might end up down here...

Moved up last July.

Thanks again guys.

Re:

Just been onto house insurance “can you tell us anything about the bikes”

That was a lovely hour.

Now I’m really gutted. All my xt v and wheels etc.

Re:

No consolation I know, but they are both pretty individual bikes and will be easily spotted if they are offered for sale on the regular places.

It's not like either if them are an off the shelf Carrera / BTwin / Kona.

And you'd spot a 5' 6"er scrot half a mile away trying to climb onto either of them.

Picture the scene with local plod: "are you sure this is your bike sir, only we have a 10' gentleman down the road who claims it might be his...?"

Re:

And to state the obvious [apologies, but it wouldn't be the first time someone's done something similar] if you have the serial numbers, specific parts info etc, keep it to yourself.

Don't put the info out there / here to help a potential scrot sell their ill-gotten wares...

If you have any info, cool, you can help prove ownership - otherwise you're just giving info away to the otherwise ignorant.

Here's hoping for a swift recovery in any case.
