Hi, I think mid 90s age wise, axle width depends on the frame, really but most MTB stuff ran on 68 shell- 113 or 115mm axles then.
I used both 113 and 115 with it on various steel frames.
They’re cheap enough compared to top end road that I do these days- I have some Rotor and Campagnolo cranks I paid over a Grand for!
