If we are voting on the bikes as "underdogs" I would like to retract my Breezer as I would be wasting it's entry as it wouldn't qualify for this month. If we are voting on bikes from members who have not won yet than I will keep the Breezer in.

Nick,

Keep the Breezer in the competition! As John explained, this month is only for 'underdogs' who haven't won BOTM before. The underdog is referring to the person! That's what John intended with this months competition. That's how people should vote!
I will retract my entry as I have won BOTM before....

Cheers,
Bart

Re:

What a cock up this BotM is. Many of us though it would be for Underdog bikes and brands and so have taken and used pictures specifically in that context.
We just assumed the none winner rule was an additional requirement.
And FECK ALL to do with weather they could enter a high end race winning or mass lusted by the herd bike (should i say generally voted for bikes).

John you've cocked up here.

Back to not giving a toss about BotM again then.

Personally, I take 'underdog' to mean the amateurs who put bikes together in the back bedroom or the shed, scrubbing down old parts or finding stuff on eBay and who maybe doesn't have the time and resources that somebody working in a Bicycle related business would have.

I thought we are voting on the bikes and not the people who own them?

For what it is worth, I go through the same time / detail to build up these bikes as everyone else. Parts sourced on eBay etc. My "mechanics" weren't even born when these bikes were made so I am do the work to bring them back to life just like everyone else here.

It's a BIKE contest not a Person contest. Who did it is irrelevant (or should be). An Underdog Bike is a bike that would not be expected to win the contest in any shape or form (in this case a Normal BoTM). An Activator would be perfect.

Yeti's would probably be expected to have a very good chance of winning especially if done really well, people for some reason have a taste for them.
Some obscure US made bike ridden by some US bloke people seem to really want for some reason may be expected to win.
etc..

But an Activator, feck all chance unless people where taking the piss.

It would be like entering a French BoTM contest and then entering a Japanese bike because I was born in France.
