Thank you Sinnerman, I appreciate that. Like I said prior: I didn't interpret the definition of this month's theme of "Underdog" referring specifically to the bikes as underdogs. I understood it as those who have yet to win the comp. If this was the case I would have certainly entered our Velocitech.

Maybe it isn't you, maybe I interpreted it wrong, but I thought the competition was about Voting for Bicycles, not voting for the members who own them.

Again I agree, it should always be about the bike.

John's description of: "this month will be an 'underdog' special, entries only open to those who have not won the contest before" doesn't really mention anything about the bikes as underdogs but specifically says underdogs are those who have not won this comp before.

John, feel free to pull my entry if I interpreted you incorrectly. I will gladly refrain from entering the Breezer until next month if I am wrong.

Guys, see my post on page 1! I had the same question....

Is this contest:

- entries only open to (bikes) who have not won the contest before.

or

- entries only open to (persons) who have not won the contest before.

????

I'll PM John....

Re:

Apologies all for slight lack of clarity. Contest for those users who have not won the contest. Will also exclude bikes which have won before.

Re:

I would say no.
It's all about the bikes.
But maybe next month we could have a retrobike member of the month ( nothing obscene of course )
And I don't see any pics of retrobike members, so I can't really vote for the owner of the bike.
Did I mention this contest is all about the bikes.

FatMikeyNYC's 1983 Fat Chance #138 x-Chris Chance

With all the interest in Chris' re-startup of Fat Chance, I'd like to enter one of his early, fillet brazed personal bikes this month in the spirit of Chris being an "underdog" back then and perhaps again now with his current Fat Chance Bikes venture.

Build thread to follow...

Great bike! I like the tires ... And the colour.

The black cat crossing the bikes path is rather timely ... Hopefully it's not symbolic of Chris' chance of rebooting his business.

i suppose its just a matter of perspective. judging by the standard of some of this months entries, i can pick out more than a handfull which are anything but underdogs.
sinnerman i would suggest you just vote for the bike you feel is a genuine underdog.

May be original, and thanks for pointing that out - cool picture, but to me coloured tyres remind me of cheap childrens bikes and just look wrong. I don't recall a single bike I've seen on here with coloured tyres which I haven't thought would look better with some amberwalls or just plain black.

Personal choice and all, which is why I expect it will get 50+ more votes than my trekker
