Submitted for your approval is my Prestige Concept beauty with Deore XT drivetrain, Interloc Racing Design Seatpost, Rotary Brake and Widgit, and super awesome, still-fuzzy Onza Porc II's. Not repops - originals!

It was a labour of love that took decades to find and a year to complete.

That is nice mate best Brodie I've seen in years

Well, set up is a personal issue (see seat, stem, and a Smoke on the front), but that's really the first DBR that I've ever wanted. Nice. But vs a rigid Brodie? Oh that's tough.

That is why we need a Win, Place and Show.

Nice to hear my DBR is the first 'desirable' one you've seen :D

I don't understand your issues with the seat and stem though?...the seat is set at an angle for me and at the correct distance from the bars for me. The stem is as high as possible, again for me. Given the state of my health; if I am to have any chance of riding it, I need as much comfort as possible. I could have easily dropped the stem 'for show' but seems rather pointless. We're not as young as we were 'bitd' ;) ....and some of us have health a lot worse than when we rode back then too. :(

As for the Smoke on the front, take a look at many old issues of MBUK, Smokes were common place on the front. Especially before the Dart was available! :)

Cheers

Indeed - I've got at two, scratch that, three Diamond Backs that came stock with Smokes on front and rear.
