2 had that frame and forks, the maveric 18 pro sbdu, and tha avanti mk1, the avanti mk 2 had the u break moved up to the cross bar on the frame from the chain stay along with a curved tripple butted 531 fork with appalachian, the 531 avanti had 1.5 cm longer chain stay though. along with the appalachian and thunder road. the ozark mk 1 and 2 stayed on the bb along with the chinock. moonrun and white lightning was also a normal rear canti fiting. maveric 18 pro was replaced by thunder road, with a chromoly 501 fork the maveric 18 pro mk 2, can be found in matalic burgndy read with silver stickers in asia whilst the beaver and chpagne full 531, not the mk2 tange version made in japan, the mk2 was replaced with thunder road and is the same frame with a just the fork being different. dawes ranger fork will fit,MSYT - 1987/88 Raleigh Avanti - Banana Style

Hey folks. So this is my Raleigh Avanti... or what I believe to be an Avanti. I picked this bike up in 2020 after seeing it on eBay. It had a pretty random paint job but I spied the group and 531 decal and used the catalogues to track down the model. I'm fairly certain, only the Avanti had...www.retrobike.co.uk
