Hi compatriotdutchie":1wg1098m said:Dutchy's TREK 800 Mountain Track from 1986.
Because in the documentation I did find only in that year this color scheme 'Antelope Slate metallic with red decals'. And because the frame numbers starts with a letter I indicating the 17.5 inch frame size as was common at that time.Double-E F":4h5sh487 said:dutchie":4h5sh487 said:Dutchy's TREK 800 Mountain Track from 1986.
Nice entry!
What makes you think that Trek is from 1986? It looks slightly younger to me; do you mean 1996, perhaps?
Thanks, that helps. So maybe end 90's?Retro Spud":u4p59mq2 said:I have to agree - the headtube badge looks original and the time line places it as late 90’s

Indeed, the bell is added by myself. It is 2019...retrobikeguy":u4p59mq2 said:sorry ... the gold bell is definately not an item available in 1986, as stated previously I believe the bicycle may be a child of the late 90's.... much later, maybe even noughties.
Thanks... I am convinced that it is a 1997 bike nowRetro Spud":2li3zlns said:If you follow the link it’s in the 97 trek catalogue
