Bike hydraulic brake fluid.

What brakes?

Some use mineral (or citroen lhm at a push) some use DoT 4 or 5.1 (but don't mix) some use proprietary stuff (usually dot or mineral with dye. ;) )

And as cars use DoT anyway, yes, you can use car brake fluid. Its the same stuff.

DoT then.
5.1 is "normal", as in most readily available.
Get a smallish bottle from your local motorbike place, I find that the cheapest/volume by far. (Other than buying huge bottles).
Then watch YouTube clips. (Might need to source yourself a bleed kit too)

I had Red Maguras which ran clear hoses. I used to use Virgin Olive oil in them. Believe it or not but they ran really well ;)

But that kit up there looks exactly the same.

And it depends how good you are at bleeding, and how much you lose each time.
I've known people go through 250ml of fluid and still have badly bled brakes, which seeing as they only hold ~10ml, is an achievement!

Re:

Really Minifreak... :)

Never done it before Matt but been watching several videos on it and doesn't look that hard.
Sooner try and do it rather than pay a LBS...you don't achieve anything.
