hey guys

looking at the picture below can anyone see any reason why i couldn't use a + 20mm caliper adaptor to enable the use of a 203mm rotor in place of the current 180mm (should be a 185mm) ??

using something like this ......

i sent the above guys a message asking the same question but they reply was that the adaptor wouldnt work - and i cant see why ??

am i missing something here :?

thanks all :)

i reckon it would work! dont see why i wouldnt to be fair
other than you will still be 2mm out but thats less and if it doesnt bother you being 5mm out 2mm aint going to matter!
check crc for adapters too ;) prices may be better or pinkbike for that matter

i don't see why not, although, i did hear older bombers have the disc things 3mm closer, or further out..

hm i wonder if thats true?
also, i dont think theyre bombers :?
do you kno what year(s) the spacing was funky?

big.eck has his twin discs on his bombers, and there 96? he needed adaptors, i suggest you ask him? he's pretty reliable,

thanks guys, i couldnt see why it wouldnt work but thought id ask anyway,

no not bombers, just old rockshox hi5's :)

i think i'll score an adaptor and give it a try, dont need a bigger disc but hell - looks good dont it :LOL:

it nightn't work, if the adaptor adjusts position too 180mm placement, if it's a bigger disc, it'll adjust position too, i think, could be talking BS tho..

yes i run 203mm rotors although now im used to them i think theyre 'normal' and 'small' looking :roll: :LOL:
