You need to face the frame with a special tool for the bottom bracket to work. It cuts a chamfer into the shell otherwise it sticks out and looks very ugly. It also gives the cups more surface area so is supported better.

You can see the angle of the cups on the pic below.

This is true mate, can be done at any decent lbs and can save the frame if the BB threads are goosed....... All instructions are included, thanks for your help fella
