Bianchi via nirone 7 seatpost problem

So I've just got my new carbon seatpost for my bianchi & it won't go in past 3 inches !
I'm 99% certain it is a 31.6 but it won't go in!
Anyone got any ideas?

Not sure.

However, I do know that oversize seatposts are often 31.8, not 31.6.

A 31.8 definitely wong fit!
I suppose a 30.9 might have to be the solution!

According to the spec, your Via Nirone comes with an oversized 31.6 seatpost, right? Your carbon one is likely to be 31.8, that's all I'm saying. You obviously need another 31.6.
