Hello from America! Been lurking here for the past year; today I became a member. Thought I would show you a project from this past winter. Bike is a 2000 model which I rode for a couple years until life changes caused me to stop riding. Bike was still in great condition so I thought it would be worth doing some updates. I laced up new rims and spokes to original WTB hubs, new Suntour Raidon 120mm fork, Maxxis tires (tubeless), and new Shimano brakes. Added a 1.5 degree angleset from Italy to slack it out a bit. Being an older model I watched the budget pretty closely- estimate I have about $600 USD in the project. Rides really nice on my local flow trails and I've never seen another Superbee on the trail (even back in it's time). This was my first time lacing wheels and I am very pleased with them. The photos were taken with some old Hayes brakes which have been swapped out since. First photo is in its original state.
