The last one of my summer "trilogy", I know these Sakae Litage frames have been covered here but I thought I share this particular version. The frame has a dirty little secret though - quite a dent in the non-driveside chainstay but no cracks so I guess it'll be fine. Other than that it's in pretty good shape and I'm glad I didn't need to change the cables...
Am I the only one who thinks this needs skinwalls?

Don't think I have seen one of these before.

Nicely set up too, other than front brake cable. Just needs adjustment.

Some sort of colour in the tyres would help, maybe amberwall.

How does it ride?

100% needs amber walled tires, would lift the bike and make it look more athletic (always thought black tires make a bike look heavy :? )

Handling is snappy and direct, the ride feeling is quite different to my other bikes (most of which have 90s Tange steel frames), but I haven't spend enough time in the saddle yet to describe this difference in a meaningful way, definitely not as stiff as the modern alloy frames I had.

Having a hard time finding new tyres in 26". 17mm inner rim width tells me I shouldn't go past 2.0 (Maxxis), probably will try Panaracer Paselas in 1.75 that were suggested to me in another thread.

Schwalbe offers the City Jet in amberwall also, 1.5 or 1.95, although I'm a little disappointed in the colour of the sidewalls, seems too light, but could just be because my pair are still new.

Thanks, I Just ordered them in 2.0 (a no-brainer at 1/3 the price of the Panaracers)! I knew that Schwalbe had some options as I put Road Cruisers 1.75 in gumwall on my girlfriends Dutch/cargo bike some time ago but I'm neither a fan of their tread nor their looks. The City Jet was new to me and the Schwalbe site has a "new for 2016" badge on them calling the version classic skin. Not much info online, how do you like them in use?

I haven't gotten much use on them yet, other than a few spins around the block, as the bike build is still in progress, but they feel quick, nimble and grippy, and I think they look good!

They are definitely lighter in colour than Road Cruisers, I like them. Those are the 1.95 versions, right?
