Bianchi, Lewisham £1200

Anyone wanting a nice Bianchi Nth or similar from the 90ies has to be careful and do their research. Otherwise they might blow money on something mass produced and not worth much
Genuine hand built Reparto Corse race frames were built with top end tubing such as Genius or Zero and had the Bianchi text cast on the bottom bracket shell.
That is a rather significant but subtle identifier, IMO. Most definitely this information will be helpful to others. My 98' Nth has that stamping as well. Can't fake that on a cheaper frame without butchering the bottom bracket housing, I'd bet. Reviewing the eBay post above, the seller knowingly or not, doesn't show the non-drive side of the bike. 🤔 All photos are of the drive side at different angles or straight on

Absolutely!! And yes I didn’t notice but now that you mention it - seems he may possibly knowingly be hiding that!!
Of course there are other identifiers such as the welds and such.
Have I seen your ‘98?

Of course I’ve seen it!
And just admired it again from your sig

You helped me procure the IRC Mythos

Anyhow, ask the seller for a few non-drive side photos. For his handsome asking price he just may oblige.
😂🤣 I think I’ll do that!
And then reply with a ‘oh!’

Yellow-shmellow...the FRM's were good to go. But as I said in the other thread to that other member with the Bianchi, go with blue SID's...but actually the red SID on that frame would look radical. Would really tie in the stripes

Its made from Oria DB tubing which is similar properties to 501 Reynolds or Columbus Cromor. All are seamed double butted tubesets. They ride nice n'all but not an expensive set of tubes.

Basically a low-middle-end tubeset above 500 Reynolds and Columbus Aelle but well below the more fancy stuff from the 1990's like 753, 853 Reynolds and Columbus Genius & Nivacrom.

Frame would weigh about 5.1lbs, compared to say 3.9lbs for Genius. For what its worth, my old On-One inbred weighed 5.0lbs for frame only (4130 double butted) and those sold cheap (£150-£200 frame only). This Bianchi is vastly overpriced.
