Bianchi, Lewisham £1200

Its made from Oria DB tubing which is similar properties to 501 Reynolds or Columbus Cromor. All are seamed double butted tubesets. They ride nice n'all but not an expensive set of tubes.

Basically a low-middle-end tubeset above 500 Reynolds and Columbus Aelle but well below the more fancy stuff from the 1990's like 753, 853 Reynolds and Columbus Genius & Nivacrom.

Frame would weigh about 5.1lbs, compared to say 3.9lbs for Genius. For what its worth, my old On-One inbred weighed 5.0lbs for frame only (4130 double butted) and those sold cheap (£150-£200 frame only). This Bianchi is vastly overpriced.
🎯
Absolutely
Massively over priced. To be honest the bike is not worth more than say £200 in total. And even then he’ll be lucky.
A Genius frame from Bianchi is very light - frame only weighs in at approx 1260g E629A93C-7122-41B9-8271-3FF0C02281A5.webp

1260 grams for a steel-is-real frame is super light. 200 grams lighter than most titanium frames out there. The process of how that can be made so light would be cool to watch. Those two steel frames there are made of the same Nivacrom? Those frames vary by almost 400 grams! Where is the weight savings in the higher end frame?

Maybe the seller can be convinced to sell the seat and Wildgrippers...

The weight 1260g for a Genius MTB frame would be the smallest size they sell (usually a 15-16"), unpainted. Primer, Paint and lacquer and will add on about 170g. Its a bit of a marketing ploy.

A medium frame (18") will add an additional 180g.

My Olmo road frame made from Columbus Genius weighs 1704g unpainted. Its 55cm c-top.

Thanks that makes sense
It is lighter than the Ti shown in the same catalogue (I’ve got that and sold the Genius - second genius one I sold overall)

How much did your Genius frame weigh? I can't remember whether that was in your build thread.

I didn’t weigh it myself
