Best Tools I Ever Bought

VAR tool 158. This is the hard man, will last indefinitely workshop tool. If it was let loose outside, it would definitely be wearing a leather jacket and have tattoos!

Just got into my workshop for a quick service of the trusty BMC road bike, but it's 2C 😲 I've only got a portable electric heater in her which is awful in winter. Any ideas for a decent bit of kit to warm the place?

Our workshop next door used to have a waste oil burner for heat.
Now banned!

Heated clothing is a lot cheaper to run than heating a large occasionally used, poorly Insulated space.
I know this for sure.

Makita heated clothing takes a standard lxt battery but costs a few Bob.

My wife has a Shaalek heated gilet, 35 quid, she seems happy.

I'm actually considering a small stainless steel woodburner, however it looks like using wood for heating is gonna be banned here in the next eighteen months 😲 Maybe... They say it causes more particulate pollution in small towns and villages than exhaust pollution from cars in cities, per metre cubed. So they say...

It's all OK to post pictures of Campag tools of course. It depends what you wrench on. If you wrench on pristine / good enough, go ahead, yes they perform.

If you don't, so far everything posted is not up to task. The three set Campag HS spanners including the pedal spanner twice I have found not up to task and is utter w*nk. The pin thread also fails for the NDS cup on stubborn bikes. Anyone with any sense uses a Bahco with tape or rubber on the Campag alloy headsets too. The Tacx three set was much better in this regard but suffered similar problems.

The Campag cone spanners are OK. Not as good as Cyclo though. Parktool is rarely up to task too IMHO. My most hated brand past and present.

But I am terrible. All my wheel jigs are a bit special. I own many, all rear triangles and forks drilled for the height of the rims.

I think in this day in age we should be encouraging re-use / re-purpose not purchase branded junk with substandard material qualities from China et al. IMHO. The industry needs less not more specialist tools.
