Shortly be taking delivery of a ball burnished GT bike :p and wondered what the best polish is to use??

Thought about autosol but wasn't sure if that would damage the finish or not as its an abrasive cleaner??

If anyone can give any pointers that would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Then do this after everytime you ride it and after 4 weeks you start to think about having a winter bike!!!

A bike mechanic friend gave me a free tube of Happich Semichrome Polish (made in Germany).

That's what I've been using on my ball burnished Zaskars. That stuff work awesome. Apply and smear around area and let it sit for a minute. The paste will turn grayish and dull. Then rub and wipe off with a paper towel or napkin. What you get afterward is one shiny-ass frame. Looks brand new again!

Of course you can wipe the stuff off with soft cloth, expensive fabric, and/or chamois, but paper towels work just fine. Do it by hand!!! Once I got lazy and tried my Dremel tool to buff the paste off (around the joints), and it just DOES NOT work well. Doing it by hand with paper towels is A LOT better and easier.
