To the list of good tubeset manufacturers I would like to add Ishiwata. They went bust, but ex workers founded a new company. Sadly I forgot the name :roll:
Miyata made there own tubing. Toptube looked like this on a 80s bike =>
3ple butted with spiral shaped reinforcing at the ends.

Loved that Curtlo when I last saw it and still do. Looks like a cracking modern build there.
P.S. - it was lusting after a modern custom and realising that I could not afford one that lead me to this forum, and then on to finding and buying the Lloyd. Probably cost me more in the long run... but I love riding it so it's all good :twisted:

custom built, custom sized, custom colour, pucka fillet brazed from a respected builder for a bargain price. potts has got a better, well more renown rep, value for money I reckon is easily curtlo. me biased? I dont own a curtlo (tho I did kinda persuade curly to get that curtlo joe

Its all ive been riding lately, lets just say it gets the job done to a very high standard
The ovalised downt-tube at the bottom bracket makes for a super flex free stiff set-up...
And yep Scant your right you cant fault em for the price :roll:
