Best springs available for a Judy? 95/96

Ive just bought a set of judys 95/96 era, the gold XC's, they need new elastomers as the old ones have crumbled. So, whats my options? The Damping cartridge may well be shot too. Can this just be left in place if worst comes to worst, again whats the options? If ppl have links to spring kits, etc that would be a great help. Im not looking for them to be performing at there best, but it would be nice if they were useable. Thanks in advance!

Damping cartridges can be re-filled. Worth a go before shelling out for a replacement. The plastic cartridges were less reliable than tha aluminium bodied variant but they can both be serviced.

Search on hear for threads, as I 've detailed the process at least once before...

Thanks, I havent got the fork yet, bought on ebay at the weekend and its in the post at the moment, but the add says the internals are past it with the cartridge blown. I'll have to see which cartridge it has. Can these be swapped for later judys cartridges or do they have to be the same year, if I cant repair and refill the one thats in the fork? Or can they just be left blown if all fails?

They'll be like a pogo stick with no damper.

Search Kronos springs on ebay - I find them excellent.

TFTuned don't work on 20th century forks, haven't done for some time.

The 95 Judy damper can be replaced with a 96, but I'm pretty sure 97 onwards won't fit the stanchions.

I bought Eibach springs for mine bitd - unsure if they still produce springs for bikes, i guess a spring is a spring dependent on size and ... springyness?!
