Best Saddle Ever!

Brooks without leather is like coffee without cream...
My experience of selling Brooks is:
90% satisfied customers with Brooks leather saddles, 70% with cambium.

The vast majority of brooks buyers are male, although most of our customers are women.

We only sell a few a year, but it's been a few years.

That's interesting, I liked the look of the Cambium but from a marketing perspective they went too far, too fast to the dark side of carbon.

I'm thinking about embroidered saddles from the 80s and 90s, in particular the Pantani model which now fetches silly money, as do any Colnago. Can't think they would be comfortable...

Its the start of that "big branding" market, initially influenced by graffiti style and bmx imo

Some embroidered saddles wear your trousers out if you ride a long way. Others, the stitching colour fades and wears.

Like white trainers, they rarely look good after being well used.

The opposite of Brooks leather saddles

Fair point, I never thought of that! I doubt the pros that these saddles stem from ever used an embroidered saddle in their life! I guess it's about this period that embossed handlebar tape and toe clip straps came into fashion.
