Best and Worst bikes you've ever ridden

best? There are many. Probably a 91 Klein Attitude and a 1994 DB Axis ti. Worst, a 1991 Trek 8000 and a 1992 Giant Cadex CFM. Both stiff as a Toledo blade (classy simile)

Then there are the modern bikes. Best ones? FTW Mategua and Salsa Spearfish. Worst? Dunno.

Re:

Best from my memory is a Merlin (cant remember which) more recently Univega Racelite - whippy and comunicative

Worst an Apollo Slant

The in-bred was an early 2003-ish.

Dull ride, poor finish, splotchy welds, thin paint. The ride was just disappointing at the time. Climbing sticks out as the moment I decided it was not for me.

The Cannondale was just the usual flaws of the headshock plus a disinterested warranty department. The Coda disc brakes being no better than a wet sausage. Even riding through Mike's Bikes Cambridge front door with the brakes on full up and over the Cannondale rep feet did nothing for the cause. If I'd have stuck it out and fitted Hope, things may have gone better but I was pissed off and sold the bike to some other poor sod.

It look the nuts as it was the Crossmax disc/ Volvo Team edition but no amount of looking cool could make it ride well.

Best - another vote for Rocky Mountain Blizzard.

Worst - another vote for On One inbred. Mine was single speed; was boring to ride, and the frame was heavier than a very heavy, heavy thing.

Re:

I'll jump on the blizzard as a nice ride. Great nostalgia feeling to ... totally reminds me of being 13 and wishing I could own one. Perhaps the endorphins are adding to the ride quality.

My Yo Eddy, when I actually do ride it, is probably the best handling early 90s bike I have been on. My 93 Brodie is my fav though. I am on it the most.

Worst ... Tough. I had a specialized ground control that was like riding spaghetti. My 1984ish Rocky Mtn Ritchey was just a truck.

Best - 91 Kona Cinder Cone Simply fun
Worst - Early '90's GT Tequesta Heavy and dull.

Mind you.. I haven't ridden a huge variety of bikes.... nothing newer than 2005.....nothing fs.

Re:

In my very limited trying other bikes experience, the worst was a 95 (? The grey one with silver trim) Eldridge Grade: way too big for my size, too much reach and an uninspiring ride.

My 88 Maverick was much worse of course.

Best, everything I have in the garage right now. Impossible to choose!
