BENOTTO CROMOR 1980s

Never seen that model with that tubing. I know the Benotto family, sadly they didn´t make nice bikes anymore after Giancinto Benotto died. I was talking to Teresa, one of his 2 daughters, they used to be great friends with Tullio Campagnolo, some fascinating stories. She was Francesco Moser´s girlfriend at one time, I have one of his personal track pursuit bikes.

By the looks of it you have a stable of absolute champions!
That is a truly stunning bike. I LOVE that rifling.....

I'm looking forward to seeing the next bike although after the Colnago and this one it's gonna have to be good :D

At the Benotto warehouse they have Giancintos's personal 3000, it looks almost identical to that, sweet.

the rifling on the tubes!
this is how the tubes were made
they call it the knurled tube finish.top tube/seat tube and down tube.
i believe all cromor frames are like this,if i'm right.

I've got a 80s Cromor frame with standard tubes, ie without all the dents :), so I would guess this is something that was made for Benotto by Columbus.

I signed in to see this bike as I can't view pics (mainly in Road section) without signing in first. Was well worth it. Ned, make sure you post up details of that show!
