Doubt it, defo not for me as my kids NOW [26/32], so not kids really, now have a better appreciation that I always bought "good stuff" ... There is also something going on with "Retro", it's now being used as a selling aid in ebay adds and there seems to be a great deal more interest in bikes "of old" [our era]. I know Niamh [my daughter] has told me a lot of her friends in Edinburgh were getting their Dad's [usually] bike sandblasted and refinished, spending quite a bit, for a commuter IN Edinburgh. My sons pals at his work are nearly all non-drivers - mostly from cities, he keeps having to give them lifts. I've been lurking here [Retrobike] for years dropping by to get information/knowledge so eventually I felt I ought to join... it's nice here though!Old bike is useless to most of the younger generation. When I snuff it mine will be landfill.
