BB Upgrade - Thread size

I have a total newb question about replacing a BB. I did search, and learned a lot about BB's but I couldn't find this info.

On a 94 Marin Eldridge Grade, I am replacing the cranks and the BB.
The current BB is a square taper type (110 mm).
Will the thread on the frame of the bike take a newer type of BB.

Or is it completely incompatible.

If you're changing the crankset and bottom bracket at the same time, then I don't see there being a problem.

I can't open the link you've given (work computer!), but make sure that you buy the relevant bottom bracket for the crankset.
