Yup, it really has had the cantis mounts removed and a bespoke disc dropout added.....and painted pink hahaha. Chris king headset is lovely, first time I've actually owned one aswell. Lockout on the fork works spot on aswell, notvthat itll get much hammering with me....
Built the wheels and fitted some butterscotch wildgripper. Novatec front hub, azonic rear, halo spokes and araya rm17 rims from an old raleigh dune dancer wheelset I had kicking around......rear tube needs repairing as its flat already hahaha
Fitted the longer bb and mt60 chainset, modified lx rear mech, campaign racing t front mech and a new post. This looks well against the yellow flite, xlite stem and pedals. Awaiting the brake parts to arrive and I'll cable it all up from the thumbies. Hoping this weekend itll be completed and ridden......for a slice of cake and a brew at the local woods
I know it came to you like this - but I actually find whats been done prior to you offensive, cultural vandalism
would have been better to have spent the money putting disc brakes and funky paint on something less likely to explode at the first hard hit
I know you've rescued it - but its still wrong to see how far its fallen and now a freak show actually makes me sad looking at it
I though I might have changed my mind after a few days to get over the shock - maybe I'm just getting old .
