Tricky decision between what is warpaint/patina and looking downright shabby......

BITD Carlton had acrylichrome.. which always looked pants in the end, like the Carlton Cobrs

I know you sell things on so I guess you won't make a profit if you have it refinished.

Yep shabby is not good, that's why I'm going to build it up and see what it looks like with a nice group set ( just bought a set of record cranks off here ) If I move it on rather than add to the stable, one would naturally try to cover restoration and replacement parts costs. I'll post a couple of pics when it's done and you can give the thumbs up or down! :)

I have sourced some new end caps for the pedals which I'll restore.
The mechs have all been cleaned and polished, brakes are near perfect.
This is an 83 Frame with correct pat. rear mech. Also sourced a nice Regal ( fitted ) and an 83 Super Record crankset.
The final build will have white tape and cables ( red Benotto for quick pics )
Ambrosio 19 Extra rims on record hubs.
Panto Cinelli stem and bars
Panto GPM seatpost
Panto chain rings on GPM cranks.

What do you think Shaun? to paint or not to paint?! :?
