Based on this weight is this an Eldridge Grade?

As part of a 1993 EG restoration I weighted the frame whilst it was stripped and got 2.33 kg. It is a 19 in.

This seems a little high and the frame number is M63, which does not seem to correspond to EG.

It does appear to be original however with even the sticker of the original LBS still on it.

Also had all the 93 EG equipment (LX crankset, DX groupset etc).

Is this the normal weight?

Not sure if you have the fork, but Marin stated weight was 750g.
Not unless they day 750g on the side sticker....im not sure Eldridge got those? Were they not just plain old crmo?

Plus the 750g forks were only 750g at 15".... get to 20.5" frame and tjey are a kilogram anyway!

2.3kg sounds about right....frame only at that size to me too.

M63 is ok.?..Made in Marvel factory, 6th in line to throne, in 93.

From what I understood, Eldridge was supposed to be number 4 so M43, not M63. I could be wrong.

Hence why I wondered if this is a palisades painted as Eldridge. Hope not 😅

Agree hamster, was more wondering a lower model frame painted as an EG in the first place, in the factory.

Regardless, going to build and ride it 😎
