Bargain Gary Fisher ... which I didn't actually 'need'

... but then do any of us actually need another retro MTB. I saw Gary (as he's now known) on eBay and my £75 cheeky bid to collect now was accepted. I did have an evil plan to use him as a donor for my '95 Explosif as the SRT800s, SUP-217s on XT hubs are in much, much better condition than the ones I've abused on the Kona since '95. But I went of a ride on my new best friend and I couldn't do that to him. I'm not a fan of the look of the Quadra 21s but I think the headset is 1&1/4 inch so I may be stuck with them for a while. Overall amazingly original, very little wear and surprisingly light. Happy days.

Very classy - that combination of shiny paint and understated logos. '95? I doubt the elastomers have retained their bounce over a quarter-century!
