Ban the word 'MINTY'

I agree Kev, just hadn't got round to writing it down yet!!

5-star system sounds fair, out of 10 is possibly getting a little long winded.

Maybe the term 'Minty' actually means 'NOS with most of the mud removed'.......I think we've all had a few of those!!

The camera never lies............shame it can't see into things though!!

I don't see that standardising the description is actually gonna make much differance. Most people describe their stuff honestly and, for me, the price is always a big clue.

Sometimes if the part you've been searching for for weeks turns up you just have to agree to buy it without all the facts, because if you don't it'll be snapped up by somebody else (or is that just me?).

I've seen a wide range of differant ways of moderating 'For Sale' sections over a host of forums. The 'best' ones are pretty labour intensive for the mods. I think this place has a happy medium.

As you say cosmetic and functional condition may differ vastly. I just think honest descriptions backed up by pictures are sufficient, but then again I work in a highly regulated industry and appreciate the relaxed air of this little corner of the internet :)

I simply use the 1-10 system, like I used whole my live starting as kid on school

8 = good
9 = very good
10 = excellent!

Stuff not worth an eight I do not sell, unless someone is really asking for it. Normally it goes in storage.

Mints are boring. Fox's Glacier DARK now your talking - Liquorice & Aniseed :cool: :LOL:

I've be lied too by a camera a few times on this site and the bay. Always ask for more than one picture. Front, back, top, side, every which way. Apart from 'al' who never sent pictures but said it as it was. :cool:
Also its more about WHATS not being said about an item. If you get my jist :x
But then my buying days are over till .......
