Baltic Bawbags - Sunday 22nd February

I know that Brian is really looking forward to this one and will be raring to go.

I know this because of the numerous texts this morning asking me where I was and what time was I picking him up :)

Yeah, major oops that one.

It was your visit that confused me (see, it's all your fault!).

Where I was supposed to be today was in Dundee doing the Veteran bike Fixed Wheel Fling, so I really stuffed that up too! So don't be surprised if there's a bewildered looking old guy wandering around Dundee next Sunday on a ninety year old bike and looking a bit confused.

And all I had to do was check my calendar....

Sorry Brian, I was going to give you a ring yesterday, not about Dunkeld, just chat and some wheel advice. I wish I did now.
Dave (theken) lives at Dundee does he not? If so they will be used to bewildered old guys wandering around :)
Only kidding Dave :)

Looking doubtful for this, holding out for the last moment, but the current situation requires me to be home for 3pm, which is nae use.

Re:

Will not be there, surprise surprise, haven't been there for several years now. Also I realise I'm becoming almost a non member and that is unlikely to change either. I'll see you guys one day but not soon

Re:

Just because you've missed a few rides doesn't make you a non-member. I've not ridden with the group since July!

Up at Dunkeld today at the Landrover experience and inadvertently recced some of the route. Been a lot of forestry work being going on so some of the tracks are pretty cut up with deep puddles. Areas around junctions and gates are the worst. Didn't do the loch side tracks but they shouldn't be too bad.

Sorry for not being about - I haven't recce'd anything, been fighting a chest infection for a couple of weeks and will be completely unfit for the ride - but as that is normal for me I'll still be there :) If I don't make it round all the way I know where the pub is (Damn it's post ride coffees now isn't it!).

Clubby we can bypass the landrover experience area fairly easily I think by using the path down from the cottage to the lower road - or was that bad too?

Now bike choice.....

Re:

It was parts of the climb up that were the worst mess. Big forestry diggers have been in. The top of the fast descent down towards the A9 was a mess as was the left turn at the bottom the takes you along to the climb up to the cliffs. Don't know if it improves further along as we went right. None of it is unrideable, just sloppy.
