Nice set of strong wheels - 48 holes!
Single is possible, but possibly you have adjust the axle to the middle. But it will fit, I'm sure.

Yes, I can imagine. Because of the vertical drop outs.

Shimano Singlespeed Freewheel

This is a screw on freewheel for traditional threaded hubs, ideal to convert an older road wheel with multi-speed freewheel to a singlespeed. Also perfect for use with modern threaded singlespeed hubs for road, off-road or BMX. Not suitable for splined cassette hubs.

Usual reliable Shimano quality in high strength chro-moly steel. Available in 16, 17 or 18 teeth and suitable for 3/32" or 1/8" chains.

and a crank with a 3/32 chain ring and have it single speed, rather than fixed, I dont plan on skid stopping anyway lol

Or you could use a dedicated chain tensioner if you want it 'fixie', but it won't look as vintage as that deraileur.
