Well it wasn't a dog smoking a fag that set that dog shelter on fire was it, I stand by my words nothing more evil than a human being
We're as evil as we are beautiful we create so much good but equally do so much evil, u kill me at the drop of a hat if the situation required it u or me u pick u.

how be great to actually see a badger yes I'm a townie you country boys don't know how lucky you are get all that great riding and wildlife ..
As I said in my first post, the nearest sett is about 50 yards away in a scruffy bit of old woodland I have beyond the top of my garden, and we get the inhabitants in and out if both the front and back gardens nightly.

We also have foxes, although persistent mange seems to do for them all eventually, poor souls, we have deer, which piss my wife off, as they eat her shrubs (makes me laugh), tawny owls, magpies, jays and my favourite, Sparrowhawks. All of them pass through on a regular basis.

The down side is that the badgers dig the shit out of the lawn and will happily upturn and empty planters or tubs if they think there is something tasty in there, the deer are a bit more selective, but seem to love eating flowers, and the Sparrowhak took a mummy blackbird that had been a regular in the garden all summer... nature in the raw I guess.

Lucky you what if you put food out for the badgers do they come and eat it, IDE love to be able sit in room look out into garden and see such sights, we get town foxes some of them pretty darn big and good condition not scrawny so there doing well must be lots rats around.

We don't put food out, but yes they would, bread with honey or peanut butter are well liked apparently, I also threw some old Brazil nuts around the lawn, and they were all gone the next morning.

We have a beautiful young vixen that comes and sits at the top of the garden. I put out some food scraps from time to time for her as she is a real sweetie. I hope the mange does not get her, but most likely it will. Town foxes do well with domestic rubbish, old McDonalds, fish and chips, bits of pizza's etc.

The Roe hind has a fawn at the moment, they both wander through from time to time and recently made a meal of my wife's geranium plants, well at least the flowers, so we moved that planter closer to the house.

The badgers also like to 'investigate' the dustbin, so that now has bungee's on the lid and is strapped to a fence.

Re:

Mange is treatable . Putting the cure in their food you put out helps Neil
