Love to know if someone could paint up a rigid fork to match the frame ? ,, and wondering is it airbrushed,, ? would I need to remortgage to pay for the work if it was ?

it looks to me like the lighter coat has been applied, left to dry and then a second, darker colour is added.while it's still wet the paint is 'bagged'.i've seen it done different ways,
clingfilm, scrunched up and wrapped around not too tightly and left to dry before removing.
dabbing with loosely scrunched up rags
flogged with a long, soft bristled brush
even a combination of the above works but matching it spot on would be extremely difficult without the two colours used originally.
sorry not much use

Just to add that this look has been used on custom cars for years and that it can use a black or silver base coat depending on the desired finish. I have heard of people using scrunched up carrier bags to get that effect on the second colour. It'll also need lots of lacquer on top to get it nice and shiny.

It looks like it was actually hydro-dipped.
It's been used in industrial and custom manufacturing for a while.

you can see the different patterns here:

here's a gallery of some of the applications:

carbon fiber is a big favorite check out the bike frame they did.

It's relatively inexpensive too.
It is thin film process so after application you will need to clear coat it.

I've had it done on a rifle and some automotive parts.

That certainly has a NATURAL finish that does

like the carbon effect hydro dipping.......could get a steel frame done and then it would look like a bso

Yeah not bad,

I think that carbon finish really looks the best on large surface areas.

Been trying a few different builds out on this and this is where we are at..

I tried black components which I think do look good against the frame,, but after 'guidance' , cheers steve..;)  I thought I'd give White a go for the stem and seatpost as the decals are white..

Any thoughts peeps..

I'm not to keen on the white stuff. The cables are ok, but the stem and post are a bit too much imho. Maybee silver stuff? The white is to distracting for the very beautiful paintjob.

Have to agree there Si. I think the white forks worked as per the Bamboo example, (even modern day Fox?) but would like to see it toned down with Chrome or a Gloss Black. Think that would really harmonize the build...but...you gotta build it how you wish!! Whatever feels right to you...
