Finally fitted the rear. Both of the adaptors are front 180 - was that intentional? I've used the rear one with an existing 160mm rear Shimano adaptor but had to saw off the end of the sticky out tab on one of the pads to stop it catching.

But anyway, ta. Top brakes.

I had not used them with the adapters but was under the impression that 180 front and 160 rear were the same fitting

You may well be correct. Maybe someone round here knows what they're talking about and can set us both straight.
