Avid Arch Supremes...more help required!

although the washers are officially 'crucial', i have run them without without issue. and they are v similar to the exposed bearing on an ultimate (at the back) and they don't use washers, so that'll probably be ok.

They'll also run for ages with notchy bearings.

:oops: sold them now...oopps. :LOL: to be honest it would annoy the hell out of me that they were not as they should be out of the packet....I'm such a tart

Whilst it's true, you are a tart :p I think it's totally a case of getting what you expected in this case - if you'd been expecting a little faff you'd have been prepared and it probably wouldn't have bothered you... ;)

Everybody's happy now though I hope, and I can recommend those m950 levers, just lovely... :oops: Hope you're not regretting helping me out now! :shock: ;)
 
can some one show me a pic of the "right" set up?

what is wrong here:

is the washer are not mend to go on the front like on the Ultimate?

this shot is from the 1998 catalog, i cant see them???

According to the manual you have to slide the washers onto the brake bosses first. Then slide over the brake arms.
