My Arch Supremes arrived today....and as (after the sale) the seller mentioned, the bearing are rough and need replacing. Any tips without the special tool?
Also the 13mm washers which I understand should be fitted to the boses before fitting arms...are missing. Can I get these from somewhere?

put some pics up big fella

probably some pin punches around 10mm dia would be a start
if they're any thing like a normal arch rival

Here they are..pictures clearly show the missing washers

the 13 mm washers are kind of important but I don't notice any difference when not using them. But the brakes should come with the special mounting bolts also. They allow the bolts to be kind of recessed into the bearings so they don't bind. The current Black Ops bolts are the same and the dust covers can be used also since the bearing sizes are the same. Getting the bolts and cover from Avid is hard, although they are listed as spare parts on their site.

I've tried getting the tool from Aivd, but the Arch Supreme's predated the current Sram/Avid, so they have no idea of what the hell Arch Supreme's are.

thanks mark..would that work with sealed bearings?
the washers were ones that for fit over the boss prior to fitting the arm so the countersunk ones won't work...but should for the mounting bolts

Hi mate,

sorry to hijack, but perhaps I can get help. I have got the same brakes from here awhile ago and they came without these special washers and bolts, too. But both, the seller and me, didnt know that there have to be special hardware. Can someone tell me, how these washers and bolts have to look? Dont want tu ruin the Supremes, when fitting without these.

And please for a non-natural speaker ;-)
