Nothing beats a crisp, sunny morning in autumn. Scything through fallen leaves is best enjoyed on a rigid steel bike.

thats the thing about mtb'ing , your out there all year
and you appreciate the seasons
 
Got out today for my first ride after popping my shoulder out playing football 5 weeks ago, and couldn't echo your sentiments more!
Only concession was that I was riding my modern Trek :oops:
In my defence, I was told it'd be 12 weeks before I'd be able to ride again, so I had to go careful!
Managed 26 miles on The Purbecks, and could barely ride up the hill to my flat at the end of it. Amazing how quick you loose fitness :oops:
