Very cool - has anyone had a go on these?

Yes.
Awful.
All auto geared bikes are worse than a single speed, and nobody ever liked them, even if they don't know the difference between tyres and wheels...
(Obviously the bar- end shifter mob will start contradicting herešŸ˜‰)

Those features aimed at engaging non- cyclists usually just turn them off.

I've got a kickback 2 speed on a slow burning project, but that's to have a control-free handlebaršŸ˜Ž

Real was a supermarket-style brand, like cheapy decathlon.
Northern European, possibly French.

I'm sure they ditched the brand name when they "real"ised how their Internet searches would pan out.

Shame it's no good although I didn't expect anything else. I got on well with my Nexus IGH on my old commuter and it would have been great in the city to have an auto system that actually worked
