After launching a 3mm nut for a top tube cable clamp into the abyss that is my work area, I gave up trying to find it and ordered 100 3mm x 10 mm long button head screws and 100 3mm nyloc nuts for the same money as a new cable clamp set. McMaster-Carr to the rescue, delivers tomorrow sometime. Seat bolt should be here Tuesday.
So now I'm playing bike dress up and wrapping handlebars...

This has been a fun build with a lot of plot twists and a few bad cockpit choices in the beginning trying to deal with the 21 inch frame with a 22.5 inch top tube. The good news is I now have a acceptable fit and I really want to ride it!!!

It's been a little while but progress is being made as parts are showing up. If I had to describe what i've built I would call it a resto-mod sportif or in other words a utility cruiser that I can throw a Carradice bag on and go day tripping.
Things that showed up are a 12-27 Dura-Ace cassette for more useable gearing to be installed in the morning (see the chart below) and a Park third hand tool.
And two properly exposed photos to show the current state of affairs.
