Hi all I’ve had these parts for quite some time must be two years plus things have changed in my life including new job so everything was put on a back burner and I’ll admit I just forgot about doing it so all the parts I had in the attic let me know what you think some a mixture of Nos and almost Nos items

I think from memory it’s a 1998 . GT tequesta shimano stx rc brake levers shifter combo , stx rc wheelset with rotchey rims , panaracer fire xc pro tyres , stx rc rear derailleur ,low range road cassette . Don’t know if I’ll fit front derailleur but do have stx rc one . Xt hollowtech chainset

How do you take these pics?

( minor criticism, I wouldn’t go for this cranks. Maybe sworks or sort of low end middleburns?

Looks pretty good to me, big question: how does it ride?

The XT crank might be a bit modern but good quality unit, I’d prefer a more traditional crank as well but they look like they work just fine

Funny, I have the same rims, the Rock Comp but with XT, the same period of that crank set. I bought new because I don´t find something to match in my new bicycle, a Sunn tox NOS frame but they are quite nice .... and that STX RC is the same as the LX.

To match the crank set, you can find some Suntour from 1997 or that era, and will match perfect, they are not expensive and looks cool, or some sugino impel. Here my suntour, it comes in a RR500 from 1996 or 97 with STX RC and I pass to a Merida.

Thanks for the info . Yeah I’ve had these rims on quite a few bikes will change the crank when I one one I like but preferably stx to match the rest of the components

I have an iPhone 13 and in camera mode there is a portrait mode with stage light setting I use that mode to get the photos
