atm daily cash limit

so, when first i get money from a barclays atm and after from a hsbc atm, the system updates so i cannot get money from the hsbc atm?

i think it's "difficult" with a transaction, the seller doesn't know me, so it's a risk for him.

I can withdraw any amount over the counter as long as the funds are in the account.
You must be with a better bank than Santander. I used to work for them and there was a limit on counter withdrawals. For larger amounts (not that large really) you had to pre-arrange it in advance so they could order the notes in.

I have a business account with santander but I'm not allowed to use the counter.
Private account is with HSBC, never had any drouble with large withdrawls.
I should add I don't do it often.

niw, i asked a friend, he told me the same:

In the UK the system updates in a few minutes so unless you have a street where there are several banks in a row (Gosforth high street for me) and you can get to 3 or 4 cash points with in 2 or 3 minutes you'll find the limit has been exceeded.

i think no seller would give me his product and then he will waiting for his money. me, i wouldnt do iit, because a buyer could tell a me al ot of stories why he wants to pay by paypal or whatever and after i give him my product maybe i never see my money...
in german there is an old saw: "Nur Bares ist Wahres"
that means, only cash you can trust because you old it in your hands, but to wait for an transaction by a bank, paypal... can be riskfull

--> pardon my english, i do my best, hope your understand what i want to tell you

now i searching for informations for getting an account at an brtish bank, but it seems to be not really easy.[/code]
