There are a couple of threads from the dim and distant past about these bikes which from what i have found were Orangealike P7 , although they may be a different metal as P7's aren't tange etc.... sold via "The bike shop in Wrexham". I am currently building one as below.

Can i get a Witness some help please ?

Any info on the Bike shop

and could any one scan Mountain Biker International August 1995 as this has a review on the Pro lite - SE ( I don't need the mag just the one article)

Just come across this thread! ‘The Bike Shop’ is in Stansty Road, Rhosddu, Wrexham and although I haven’t been there for a while, it used to be run by Phil, who built the ARP bikes from frames. He also sold Orange, and I bought a new C16r from him in 1995. At the time he showed me his ARP bikes and I was interested but decided to get the C16 instead. He felt the ARP was a better bike than the equivalent Orange P7. I think Phil used to ride at Llandegla Forest when it was just Forest roads and before it became the current trail centre. I believe that the Forest backdrop was used for ARP marketing bumf..it was a long time ago and I may have got this wrong! They were nice steel bikes and very light. Last time I called there, the shop was mainly doing road bikes, mainly Bianchi. Hope this is of help!

@hoppy58 Thanks for the info and a new lead to try. As for the Pro-lite its my clunker and is very nimble and fast. The rear Spinergy has split so the y have come off.

Hi,

I used to race for 'The Bike Shop' back in the mid to late 90's. I started with the ARP you have about the mid 90's and then changed to the ARP Ibex which is the titanium frame version. I still have the ARP Ibex tucked away so owned it for 25+ years now fitted with PACE RC36 front forks. The info on the Bike Shop you've been given above is correct, the shop is still running.

Dug the bike out
