Scenario: It is the 'end of the world', most major infrastructure has been totalled and the atmosphere is shafted for the foreseeable future.

You are the Minister for Transport under the New World Recovery Authority, so you can choose the motor manufacturer that can develop the vehicles needed to roam the now polluted and harsh landscape, using the limited resources available.

I am going with Honda.

Despite my love of German cars, Honda are a most innovative and consistent manufacturer.

I just love them.

Strange I have owned relatively few.

Roll on the 'destruction' of the earth; I want to see what they come up with!

+1 Honda. They have motorsport Heritage, bullet proof engines, are developing green alternatives for the future, make bikes too. As long as they got Gorden Murray on board (genius designer) they couldn't go far wrong?

honda is all good and well...but fiat are proven to be able to withstand apocalyptic conditions, after all a lada is just a rebadged 126.

When the end of the civilised world comes simplicity will be key! they have the motorsport heritage (they own ferrari/maserati/lancia)

They are already a big seller in most third world countries albeit in rebadged format, its the logical choice, although toyota was a good one too.

Anyway if fiats not your cup of tea...TATA
