..That can help me find some stiffer springs for my 97 Z2?

I prefer a stiffer fork and the current ones (stock?) are too soft for my liking, even with full preload wound on.

Does any one have a source they can recommend?

Cheers !

Re:

I couldn't find any myself, so I replaced the 5w fork oil with 7.5w, and it turned out quite nice and stiff. I actually backed off the preload a bit.

Re:

I'll follow this thread as I also have some Z2's that could do with being a little firmer.
I've read various things on the "Web" regarding other springs that may or may not fit the Z2, some actual confirmation would be useful.

I actually already used 7.5w. It made a difference but not enough. I think i must have the really soft springs.... the forks used to be on a bike belonging to a very slight lady...

Re:

I think this might help. I know the hard springs 180lbs+ are white (7,5). The Extra Hard are Red (8,4)

Stock Marzocchi oil is Golden Spectro 125/150 which is 7.5W oil.

Springs for the original & older 65mm Z2's are 150mm in length. Approx 17mm inner & 24mm outer dia.

Springs for the later 80mm travel Z2's are 165mm in length.

If you happen to need the white springs for a 65mm Z2 I've got a set on ebay.

Re:

Interestingly, 7.5wt is the default oil.
10wt (heavy 210+lb) is used for heavier riders, you still need to go through all the travel though.
And kids, lightweight are 5wt (<150lb, soft spring)

Or turn the rebound adjuster rate setting nearer to closed, have a play and rides till it feel right, unless you are heavier than the spring are designed for then get the springs of course.
