Nah I like the Splash. Adds an extra level of rarity, too.

Love everything about that bike except the grips and the pedals. Aside from those minor items, pure bike pr0n.

Its a funny one wit the pedals:

The yellow matches the decals! Ive got a pair of old school XT pedals I cold easily put on but for some reason I've always used those yellow Scotts on the Yo. Maybe your right - Ill swap them....

The grips are pretty newish as you correctly identified: would love a pair of Umma Gumma grips in grey but I've never seen a pair for sale second hand... :cry:

Seeing this bike when I first joined this site in 2006 was the reason I began building VRC bikes. Along with Jon's Yo, and some Yetis, this is the quinticential retro MTB build. Fantastic stuff.
