For Sale Applied Engineering Piranha BMX 1980's with banana mags £300

rcoomber

Retro Newbie
For sale is my 1980's Applied Engineering Piranha BMX.

This is my childhood bike, and has been sitting in my dad's garage for around 25 years.

It's seen better days, but it's original and all there, including the banana curved mag wheels and original seat and grips. I've freed up the headset and it spins smooth. The bottom bracket is all good and pedals fine too. The freehub does feel a bit old, but I think these are still available. The frame has some surface rust, but it appears to be very minimal and I can't see any actual corrosion of the frame, so I think taking it back will sort it right out.

Only issue is that one of the threads on the rear axle has stripped, so needs to be changed over. Also only has the rear brake, as in photos.
I've seen the decals still available from esemdesign!

Brand new Maxxis Holy Roller 20" tyres fitted. A great project for someone wanting a 40 year old classic with a bit of fun.

Located in Bristol, UK. Not splitting, collection only. Looking for £300 but open to reasonable offers

Cheers

I can collect this weekend or Monday evening if you prefer?

Kind regards Norman
