took an ebay gamble on this...

poor listing on ebay so i stuck in a low bid and won it. my thinking was to give it to my bikeless ginger friend.

collected it last night and it is obviously fairly lowly but not overly heavy (certainly not light though!)

For reference the frame measures 20.5" centre to top, headtube looks like 1". Groupset is exage. only interesting thing is the seatclamp arrangement going through the stays. welding isnt a mess but isnt top drawer either. none of the cable guides are slotted.

sticker on the down tube reads Chesterfield Cycle Centre

my head tells me it is nothing amazing but my heart desperately wants it not to be a bso!

the people of retrobike, what is it?

there should be 6 pics in total.(1 full bike, 5 detail) let me know if any are missing please

Unfortunately the chainstay bridge arrangement and dropouts preclude it from being anything of 'quality', interesting that it has the fast-back seat stays though. If it was cheap dont worry about it.

Fastback Seatstays.

I don't know, for some reason I am think 1988 and Diamondback.

Carl.

can't see any logos anywhere unless theres something under the pump mounts

there's some similarities to the 1990 ridgeback range but no cigar...

Even though it's got a made in Taiwan sticker? :p

Ive owned a bike with the same chainstays, but can't remember what it was, probably a Muddy Fox, this had the same massive alloy rims as this too!

It's a Peugeot.

Sorry to say It's a dreadful heavy poor riding lump!

But hey It's what you want it to be.
