hi tomorrow night i am collecting this little beauty i bought in haste...

25g6lgh.jpg

the plan being to swap the components over from my 97 fire mountain. however i now realise this frame will be no good for my 97 judy sl forks.

just putting the feelers out at the minute but does anyone have a similar quality kona frame from a later bike they would like to swap for this one?

as far as i know it is a 16 inch and is in reasonable condition.

FUNNY YOU SHOULD MENTION IT

Now then,

my wife is currently riding a Kona Explosif (also brought in haste)1995 in yukky dark purple. Its got a 23" virtual top tube and from memory it's an 18" frame. It's a bit too long for her and I'm shopping for an alternative frame. If the t/t on this is about 21" and the explosif is your kind of size I'd be up for a swap. Where in the world are you. I'll pm you my phone number as were on a country wide oddysy this weekend and mayyyyyybe our paths can cross...

Cheers

thanks for the offer hampster but i'm not into this new fangled aluminium stuff.

should have said in my opening post that i am after steel.

thanks though

Hence the furrowed brow! Actually it's not at all bad - surprisingly compliant and it did build up into a light singlespeed even with very ordinary bits. I though I'd hate it, but I don't.

I kind of prefer it to my 1994 Pine Mountain, but just moved all the SS stuff to the Pine to see if what I like is the Kona or the SS bit.
I did do a blisteringly fast run of my local loop yesterday on the SS Pine, so the Alu is definitely no faster.

I need to reduce the fleet, can't decide which has to go!
