Anyone got a Marin Stinson?

Yesterday I picked up a mint '96 example, complete with the Owner's Manual in its plastic envelope! I had thought of turning it into a sort of gravel bike (fitting drops etc.) but it's in such lovely condition I'm going to leave it as it is.

The original tyres are a bit cracked, though; anyone got some examples of gravel-type tyres that are known to fit? Ta...

CassidyAce alluded to my my Stinson above. It makes for an excellent gravel bike - you won't be disappointed!

Mine runs 28 x 1.75 (~700 x 47) which has proven to be a reasonably practical size, offering adequate room for mud clearance.

I'd say you could probably fit a 2"/ 50c tyre in there but you might be pushing it on '97-era internal rim widths.
